SRS20306 Certificate II in Sport (Coaching) Sport specialisation: Martial Arts This Certificate II in Sport Coaching Qualification for the martial arts was originally released by Sport and Recreation Australia (SRTA) under the authority of the (ANTA) Australian National Training Authority and is now recognised by the Service Industry Skills Council (SISC). This Sport Industry training package qualification holds the relevant units of competence for induviduals wanting to teachor instruct the martial arts. The qualification will now allow participants to attain formal recognition from the government and the community for their martial arts discipline studies. This qualification is a benchmark and now sets the standard for all martial arts disciplines. The qualification opens the door to formal career path opportunities and of course articulation into further studies under this framework. You may now train in your favorite martial art with a recognised ACSD affiliate / study this training package and upon successful completion of all units, receive a government recognised qualification. Delivery modes: This qualification can be achieved via the Australian College of Sports Development famous flexible delivery program that includes a combination of the following delivery modes:- Home study, On-line, Face to Face workshops and on the job-(martial art school) under the direction of qualified ACSD trainers and assessors. Assessment This course is a combination of physical and theoretical martial art studies. Assessment is based on successful completion of all workbook activities, portfolio development (personal CV, previous certification, references) attendance at Australian College of Sports Development seminars, successful completion of written assessment paper for each cluster of units. Final assessment for this qualification is a collaborative effort between the Australian College of Sports Development and the martial art school senior coach or official that will highlight the students on the job and practical performance. RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) RPL recognises the skills you have gained from other courses, life experience, work experience and training provided at work. The RPL process measures your skills against the outcomes of a course or module. RPL includes course/module exemptions. RPL does not include Credit Transfer. It is important to apply for RPL if you think you have already got some experience that might be relevant to your course.
